Sodium water glass, in other words, sodium silicate aqueous alkaline solution, is obtained by dissolving a soluble sodium silicate in autoclaves under pressure and at a temperature of more than 100°C. The raw material for the production of the soluble sodium silicate is quartz sand and soda (sodium carbonate), which in turn are subjected to melting at temperatures above 1000°C.
